Thank you, President Carter

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) extends its deepest gratitude to Former President Jimmy Carter and his family for inspiring and educating the nation through their courageous choice in February 2023 to share his election of hospice care.

By making his choice for hospice public, President Carter leads by example, showing Americans how to embrace a stage of life that many don’t want to think or talk about. He is showing the nation how hospice helps patients live full lives at the end of life.

President Carter continues to receive hospice services from the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones. Please join NHPCO in thanking President Carter for lighting the way for all of us. #CandlesforCarter

This video was created to celebrate President Carter’s 99th birthday and thank him for his service.
